This idea cam to mind recently, and Vanguard said it could be done through some coding. I think its pretty cool. How about a command for units to switch skins on command? Like you can tell a ranger to switch from his normal skin to a desert skin to blend in and have a better chance of not being seen? Anyway, I think itd be cool. :type:

Not for the command, as you would need upgrades, and the game already comes with around 100 and you can only have 128, so you would need around 60 different upgrades to get all units/infantry, to have several different skins, there is a better way, make copies of the infantry or unit you want, then rename the skin.tga to.....say RngSnow.tga, then open the rangers w3d and apply that skin to it by reskinning the whole model, and all its animation models, then in the rangers code put

Conditionstate = SNOW Model = RngSnow IdleAnimation = AIRanger.AIRanger End

That should mean if it works that when it's a snow map, the ranger will have the new snow skin. That is if you applied it right and didn't screw up any of the animations for it. Hope that helps, but very few people can do infantry, as they are hard to model, animate, and skin.

Well Vanilla Generals could have only 64 and Expansion Packs are twice as good as the original so I figured it would be 128, also I hit the 128 mark and got an error saying you can't have more than 128 upgrades.

It may be possible to do all that, but sorry cloakedfigure, its not going to change how well the rangers can or cant be seen.

Indeed, if you want to make them less visble then make them have no modle lol. Then they would have nothing and you can see through them.
