First of all, drop that file one more folder down the tree into gmax\gamepacks\westwood\renx\scripts\startup

Second of all, to run the script click on the utilities tab in the side menu and choose MaxScript and then pick the w3d importer from the drop down box. Then scroll down and click the button that says Load W3D Object. Then you're done.

Hi everyone.

I'm having the same damned problem. I downloaded gmax, waited an age for the registration code, I installed the importer script in the relevant place, I clicked on Utilities, ran the script, in the little click box it says something like 'w3d -->gmax importer' and that's it. None of this 'Load W3D' stuff, just a whole lot of nothing.

Now if anyone can help me I will have their babies!! I am so desperate and I have only a week left of non-stop modding to go
