It doesn't make sense to not have a server migration option, in my opinion.

In BioWare's case it did make sense. Why? Because at release, every single server was overpopulated. It wouldn't make much sense to enable server migration at such a point in time.

I suspect the feature will be implemented in the future, but I don't think any time soon.

Well, I'll give you that one. I'm kinda shocked at how the population had dropped, to be honest. Makes it a tad hard to find help for some of the Heroics.

Figured I'd move these few posts and turn it into a new thread.

Yes indeed, I really started noticing the drop in activity as of late. On my server anyway (Ula Vii). The Imperial Fleet is usually the most dense area, but planets like Corellia... I couldn't find people to do any heroic on there. Every day, there's only around 5-10 people online who're either too low in level, or simply can't be bothered anymore as they reached level 50.

Oh well. I guess I just picked a wrong server.

The server I play on often has a decent amount of people, I normally don't have a hard time finding people to do heroics with. It makes sense though, the game is new and people are constantly making new characters instead of levelling one up to a decent level, which is why the starting planets and one or two planets later are higher in density.

They should have implemented a server migration function that only worked for the most dense servers, allowing those people to switch to the lower populations servers. Had they done that the population would have been a little more even.

Well my problem with it is things like discovering that my "real life" friends play the game and are on a different server. So help me God, I am not starting another new character on a different server. I have three on my server that are being neglected as it is.

Yeah I hear you on that, I made characters on a server so I could play with Anson and our other various friends, now a bunch of my friends from school and other places want me to play with them... but I already have 9 characters lol
