A few server questions ...

1. example: On a server ive played a player wrote "XXX is cheating !! ". And the server returned " Are you sure he is ,or are you just a poor player ?"

How do i make stuff like that happen on my server ? :confused: Also how to make my server rules to be displayed when people load my server ...

I understand this is a big question but maybe there is a guide for stuff like that.

2. Is there a command i can use to turn of voting maps but keep the kick votes available ? A command to "lock" the server to one map could work just as well :nodding:

The problem is i use a serverrotation but the players keep voting it around :mad:

3. Last post i heard there are commands to banne players from the server a specific time ,"not just kick him". Is there a way to script the voting process on my server to banne the out-voted guy for a time i set?

/thanx for the word.

1. It depends. Where was the text from the server? If it said it was the console typing, then the admin might have been typing from the console or possibly doing this:

/rcon say "Are you sure he is ,or are you just a poor player ?"

If it was in the center of the screen, using Banimod as an example:

/rcon broadcast "Are you sure he is ,or are you just a poor player ?"

Rules? Like the message of the day? Or OSP style with the text in the left corner? Maybe like Banimod does after you connect? Maybe you are talking about the banners that print text during game play?

2. Here is a list of the votes:

//Restart Map 1 //Reset Match 2 //Start Match 4 //Next Map 8 //Swap Teams 16 //Game Type 32 //Kick Player 64 //Change Map 128

You add those up for your cvar. So all of them but "Change Map" is:

seta g_voteflags "127"

3. I don't know if it can be done the way you want. I have PunkBuster on. I type /pb_plist then I find their number. Then /pb_sv_kick theirnumber timeofkickinminutes reason So it looks something like:

]/pb_plist PunkBuster Client: Player List: [Slot #] [GUID] [Status] [Auth Rate] [Recent SS] [Name] 1 c4159094(-) OK 3.1 0 tom 2 c8d2a562(-) OK 3.2 0 Jonez 3 b7f89d62(-) OK 2.8 0 MajorTom(USA) 4 8a6d0e05(-) OK 2.8 0 Brooklyn Boy 5 dfffa9bc(-) OK 2.8 0 Hunterseeker 6 fcf2ba51(-) OK 2.9 0 CANYOUDIGIT 7 c8bee418(-) OK 3.3 0 [TSF]Computer_PsYcHo_ 8 360423f2(-) OK 3.3 0 wimpy *REGISTERED "wimpy" test 9 7bd5d0f2(-) OK 4.0 0 Snott 10 c890e3b5(-) OK 2.8 0 fooshulk 11 ea330132(-) OK 6.6 0 Skoda 12 1d38cc3f(-) OK 2.9 0 durandal 13 ec89b828(-) OK 2.8 0 (BILBOjABBINS) 16 c57bc33e(-) OK 2.8 0 Swacker 20 86b700c4(-) OK 2.9 0 MILWAUKEE End of Player List (15 Players) ]/rcon pb_sv_kick 8 10 Testing broadcast: print "wimpy You have been kicked via PunkBuster (for 10 minutes) ... Testing [Admin Decision]\n" ClientDisconnect: 7 PunkBuster Server: Kick Command Issued (Testing [Admin Decision]) for (8) wimpy wimpy You have been kicked via PunkBuster (for 10 minutes) ... Testing [Admin Decision]

You could also use the PunkBuster Power Player option. You set the amout of time for the kick. Then give players points(like 10). Then set the number of points for the kick to happen(like 60). Now you need 6 people to type:

/pb_kick 8

You could also assign people larger numbers to be deputies or just to take less votes with them voting. Looks like this in your config:

// Power Settings PB_SV_PowerDef "10" PB_SV_PowerKickLen "30" PB_SV_PowerMin "60"

10 is the default points per player. 30 is the length of time a player is kicked. 60 is the number of points required for the kick.

Most commads you gave are based on the use of punkbuster. If i play on servers not running it how do i get information about players ? In quake i can use the command "/player". still this doesnt seem to work on rtcw. Please help me out here.

Also i wanna throw a punch at the new kind of cheaters ive come across. Two players joining the same server. One is medic the other has what ever class. They throw votes and let the medic reveal the other player over and over giving him new votes. This way they can vote what ever map they like and kick who ever they please.

I cant understand why the hell a player should give a new vote just becasue he dies ? Is it some kind of revard or comfort for his bad play to give him the credit to effect the vote in his way one more time.

I havnt taken the time to read the uppdates effects but i sure hope this gameflick is removed in higher patches.

And a please to all server admins to put a max-neagtive-score for the players. so these punks get booted when they point dropps becasue of vote-cheating.

thanx for the word ...

You can type /cmdlist in your console. It will give you a list of commands. I don't know if all of them work or if you should even try some of them. One of the commands is:

/serverstatus

You can type that in and it will give you a list of the players with their corresponding number.

You could then do:

/clientkick theirnumber or /callvote clientkick theirnumber
