Especially when you run into it :uum:
There's been cloaked planets in a few epis, usually the inhabitants were isolationists
(Hostile) races on a technological level sofisticated enough to allow them space flight can usually also detect and measure the gravitational pull of an object so large as a planet. Even if they can't actually see it.
yeah but it was in a tng episode that a very advanced race wanted to isolate themselve.. And they cloaked it, and nobody found it untill people disapeared from the enterprise...
On the contrary, if the Borg could cloak a Cube and modify that cloak to fire (whilst cloaked) they'd have one hell of an advantage. If not on a cube, then a Sphere or Interceptor (TNG).
Yeh but, what would be the point...if your gonna cloak its to hide or supprise the enemy. The borg have no need for this as when encountering supperior enemys or fleets/mass assimilations they send multiple ships. Only the Federation have proved that Resistance in not Futile.
Well, the Federation and Species 8472.
And no doubt the Dominion. I can't see the Klingons, Romulans, Breen and Cardassians being a pushover either.
species 8472 is going to be ahnilated now, thanks to the nanoprobes in the torpedoes....
Some how, I dont think the Borg would risk it. Especially considering Janeway gave species 8472 the specs for those torpedos.
As for the other races, good point, but then how come other more advanced species got assimilated. The Federation only gets away with it, because the Borg keep picking on them, giving the Federation a chance to study the debre.
the hivemind changes the specs probably constantly, and klingons rommies arent going to win even not the feds if the borg comes in full power!!
