Now that there's a new Star Trek movie in production, who do you think will compose the music for this movie. I've always been a BIG fan of Jerry Goldsmith's music, but sadly he's not among us any more :bawl: .
I was wondering who the producers would choose to take the job for writing the music for this movie. Although Jerry can never truely be replaced (he wrote music for almost all the Star Trek movies), who do you think is best qualified to take the job?
I was thinking maybe James Horner, because he wrote a few tracks for TWOK, I think he is a great composer. He made music for movies like Braveheart, Titanic, Aliens, Alpollo 13, Legends of the Fall and several other movies. Anyone else an idea?
couldn't you have included that in your first post
Maybe, but someone has to make a first post, so why not me?! It's been a day and still nobody wrote a post at this thread. (Is this thread that bad?)

Jerry Goldsmith was going to be working on Star Trek XI acording to IMDB, However since his passing away, I think it would be appropiate if his son Joel Goldsmith worked on the film.
yes i guess thats fair

That would be fitting, "following the foodsteps of his father". Though I don't exactly know his work, except that he did a few tracks together with his father in "Insurrection" and that he composed music for Stargate and Stargate Atlantis.
