Ok, this might sound like a noob question, but I am stumped. I just added a first season of TOS to all the other ST shows I own, and i am a bit confused. The episodes are not in order, like disk one has episodes 6,8,2,7 in that order. Why is that? Episode 1 isnt on disk 1? Confused...Anyone care to explain? My only idea is that they are in a chronological order, but then why wasn't the show shot that way? BTW, TOS is pretty corny and campy so far...I hope it gets better

Correct me if im wrong but i think the numbers on the DVD'S indicate which episode was fimed rather than broardcast.

Well, the episodes are labeled with a stardate, and an original airdate. Ep 6- 09.08.66 Stardate 1513.1 Ep 8- 09.15.66 Stardate 1533.6 Ep 2- 09.22.66 Stardate 1312.4 Ep 7- 09.29.66 Stardate 1704.2 It seems that the episodes are placed on dvds in accordance with the airdate. So are the episode numbers then represent the filming date?

Yes, I think they put them on the DVD in the same order as they broadcasted them. It doesn't really matter, there are no continueing stories present (exept the menagerie). And don't worry, I think season 2 from TOS is better than season 1.

yeah i noticed the same thign on DS9 season 6. it says that Ssacrifice of Angels was the episode before "Favor the Bold" but "Favor the Bold" comes first on the DVD and set up Sacrifice of Angels.
