I don't know about the rest of you, but I seem to go through mice alot faster since I started playing RTCW MP, I'm on my 3rd since April. Could be that I just press down too fraggin hard...
Anyway, my questions are: how often have you had to replace the mouse or keyboard? Do you use a game controller instead and if so - what type/brand?
Since 1998, I have only bought 3 mouses, and I still have my old keyboard that came with my computer. So I think you pressing to hard on it.
ok if u have a standard mouse and all it does is catch so u cant move then clean the rollers...if your left/right buttons are jammed then try to unlodge them by taking out the ball and pushing up on the button,,,,also just by a dang lazer mouse and you will have better results...i got a standard mouse and ive had it for 2 yrs...ive played online games a hella lot of those 2 yrs. (1-4 hrs a day :)) and its good, i even got hella mad one day and smashed it on the desk but it somehow stayed ok lol....mabye its magic or mabye its dell ;).
That should be their slogan... Maybe its magic, maybe it's dell (seems familiar though). Anyways, I have an optical and I'll never go back. I've had the same mouse though for a long time, well over a year. Never had a problem with buttons jamming, and since its optical never have to clean it. I guess when you see an enemy, don't freak out. A press is a press you know.

  :uhoh: :uhm: Damn...and all along I thought that the bullets would go faster if I pressed harder...
I don't know, seems a popular opinion that if you jerk the mouse it bullets are more accuarte too
lol thats what everyone does...i saw this sniper a few days ago, forgot his name, but whenever he fired at me he would turn 90 degrees! I always herd the ping but it hit the far wall about 10 ft away....weird that he didnt learn cuz every time he just died....then he busted out the panzer and hit me....even if u turn 90 degrees u can hit ur target:lol:
Don't you just hate the panzer
As they said go optical man! And if you are after a good cheap optical mouse try genius. MS mouses are way overpriced, and Dell? If you've ever tried to buy a Dell mouse in Aust you would know why I don't bother with them.
Having said that, I bought a Intellimouse explorer when microsoft were the only ones making them and I had no choice, it is still going strong. But if it dies I will go Genius.
My logitech is wonderfull. Don't know where it lies on price range but I remember logitech being reasonable. Never buy MS..
