The first few months I played RTCW I didn't mind people using the Panzerfaust, now its sort of a pain in the ass. I guess cause campers like this weapon, easy to kill many at one time. Not much challenge in using it. :uhm: Oh well.

As is usually my opinion, its not the weapon but the person using it. We've all been wiped out by the bloody thing when the user couldn't quite understand that firing the thing in a small room stops everyone...in many cases the user too. :smack: It also seems to be the "Good-bye" signature of the TKer just before he leaves...had one wipe out 6 of us in the spawn area the other night...then he left.

In my mind, the real challenge is learning how to use it affectively...great for clearing bunkers on any beach and super for breaking up attacks. However, in many games, the user is hurting the team if all he does is use it against 1 player cause his only other weapon is a pistol and the recharge is slow and long.:uhm:

Haven't seen admins ban this one yet, but have seen players kicked for using flame. As a footnote, obviously this weapon was first designed to be used against tanks (Panzers) and was very effective in WWII...1 guy could stop ANY tank and you could do it with minimal training. You just had to have the brass to be close enough to hit the tank as the range was very limited. Of course the Americans had the bazooka but did you know about the Piat?? The British used it (created all those dead armored vehicles on the bridge in Market Garden). The damn thing fired an armor piercing roung using SPRINGS :dropsjar:

I notice some guys will be a panzer (like in Wizernes) then sit around hiding for like 5 minutes before it will recharge. Kind of a waste of time if you ask me. Using it against one guy is a waste, unless he has the objective and is far away :)

I love the Panzer on the odd occasion. I agree, it rules for cleraring out the Allie spawn bunker, although it is kind of unfair.

I prefer using it for snipers. You need to be fairly accurate, but not spot on.

But I do get sick of people standing ear a spawn area, and blowing us up every 30 seconds. As fun as it is, I try to avoid it.

With the panzer and a LT. on the Tram board I can virtually shut down the allies trying to get up the mountain with the docs.

What players don't get is that spawn killing converts the game into "Stop the Spawn Killers so I can get ANYWHERE in this stage". The stages are about capturing flags, taking objectives, destroying radios, etc.

Yes, yes...the best way to stop the Allies in the Beach stage for example is not let them have the forward bunker. Many times it doesn't stop there. The thinking is that if we take the bunker from the Allies, why not stop them at the boats...or from an Allied point of view...kill the Axis as they spawn so they don't get to the war room to defend. Sorry...I can't agree with the spawnkillers as ultimately it makes the stage different from what the mapper had in mind.

Just my opinion... SPIDER

Naw panzerfaust are cool. It's when you get an idiot who camps in the uper bunker to take out 6 guys at one time in the lower bunker and talks smack about it that bothers me. 9 times outa 10 you tell him he is an idiot, run out the door onto the beach, run around the wall, run up the ladder, across the catwalk, and behind him ( yes the moron is still there) stab him in the butt.... and he leaves. Good game.

Now when you got a buncha guys cowering in the war room... THAT'S a good time for the panzerfaust.

It's not the weapon it's the idiot behind it.

I THINK THE BEST BIT WITH A PANZER IS THAT IF IT HITS CLOSE ENOUGH THEY BLOW UP INTO BITS IN WHICH CASE THE MEDIC ON THE OPPOSITE TEAM CANT REVIVE HIM/THEM.I HATE WATCHING PEOPLE SNIPE AND WATCH A MEDIC RUN UP TO HIM AND GET BACK AND DOWN AND UP AND DOWN AND UP ETC.... JUST MY POINT :D :D :D :D
