OK, I REGARD MYSELF AS RELATIVELY INTELLIGENT, BUT WHY DOES MY NEW CASTLE WOLFENSTEIN GAME JUST COME UP WITH "COULD NOT OPEN GL SUBSYSTEM" & "COULD NOT FIND PIXELFORMAT". PC- DELL OPTIPLEX GX110 & IS ABOUT 2 YEARS OLD WITH "810 GRAPHICS CONTROLLER HUB" (IF THAT MAKES ANY SENSE) . GODDAMN,I USE AUTOCAD EVERY DAY- I JUST WANT SOME RECREATIONAL FUN WHEN I RETURN FROM WORK!!!(crying out loud voice!):furious:

First off please don't shout :). Anyway my bet is your graphic card drivers need to be updated are those up to date?

yes Nvidia make a cd that i had to use to start rtcw after i did my upgrade.... from 98 to xp pro..i was getting open_gl could not be started..
its called Nvidia windows 2000/xp display drivers.... i have the cd ......from there i got athlon amd 2000+asus7n8x main board 512ddr ram :beer: yes i was on a tight budget :uhm: but that will help you out ......and yes typing in caps is considered. screaming or shouting :furious: ........just a hint m8

Some video cards, and onboard video systems cannot handle the open GL graphics. Gaming graphics are quite complicated and they need a bit of horsepower to run.
Pick up a geforce 4200 (nvidia), (for example) if you want a low priced, yet powerful card. This card gives you most fun for the buck. (As per Tom's Hardware Guide) You can get one from Newegg for less that $70.
