The MP40 was a slow firing weapon, it actually had a noticeable delay in firing. Think of it this way guys, the Sten is 550 rpm and now the sten is faster than the MP40 in MP. However the thompson is 600-700 rpm and needs fixed. Everything is correct except the thompson. And no I asked around and I dont have access to a Luger only the Walther P38. So far the only WW2 weapons he has is the Colt GI M1911, M1 Garand, P38 and also has a Soviet post war SKS.
550rpm is correct for sten.
mp40 and thompson fire far too slow.
real life mp40 fires 500rpm and real life thompson fires 700rpm.
I'm gettin old I guess.. I tried it and just wanted my old wolf back :)
your not the only one after a week or two i have gone back to the good old orginal wolfie and even tho now i suck at it i still prefer it
Yep, the fire rate is pretty patheticly slow I found
i guess they lowered the rof so they could give ET more of a quake3-deathmatch style feel.
I don't spend enough time here

I agree, if someone want a realistic ww2 game, go play DoD, a classic camper game in my oppinion. I don't care about the fire rates, I can kill with them and that's what matters to me. :smokin:
My first impression of the game was not good, but after playing for some time, I started to enjoy it, and can't stop playing anymore!
You guys LIKE the sounds??? The quick chats are reminiscent of withered calls for more "coktails" in a nursing home for the terminally ill (it keeps censoring the word when I spell it correctly :agreed: ). I guess I was expecting more of an expansion than a stand alone game, and for that reason I'm finding it hard to see why they bothered to try and fix things that ain't broke -- what was wrong with the quick chats in the original?
Similarly the fire rates for weapons. The original rates, while quite possibly wildly inaccurate, historically speaking, made for excellent firefights that were tense, edgy, and addicting. Current ET fire rates feel sluggish in comparison, and I find myself often losing the element of suprise when attacking someone from behind because the gun just doesn't fire fast enough to make a clean kill before they can react. I never ever heard any complaints about fire rates before, so why did they make the effort to change them?
All this being said, its NOT an expansion -- I understand that -- and I'm sure the devs have methods to their madness(es)... Just seems a shame to add such a spectacular host of excellent features only to take away the original (and also excellent) features that they were trying to EXPAND upon. :)
Im a sniper player, pretty good i believ ussually satndin first to second overall ranking in my league, that icludes med and liets. My record in an 8 minute game is 45 kills, 35 hs just in an 5&5 game, done much more in bigger gmaes though. So please activision make the cover ops sniper kill with one headshote, trith is , that that happen, because if you had kill a horse 500 mts away with a singhle shot of a mauser, you'll know.
Yeah ...i agree with Amiga. They rellay screwed ET sound up an the FG42? Dont get me started on that!!! All in all a complete flop compared to RTCW!
