haha I've been there man. Except it was the entire computer for me, not just a single game. Rock on!

Anyway, as for halo for PC, I can't imagine it being as good as it is on X-box.

sucks to be u, what i would do, prolly not what i would do but what im recommending , is to try to comprimise and say that ill play for an hr, or stop doin school work cuz u cant play RTCW, matters how much u like the game, even tho im way into the community and like RTCW, if my mom said u cant play i would argue a bit, but in the end it would be ok, my parents dont give a crap so its all good, i really just like rtcw cuz i getta go to a dif world and do whatever, but so many other games do the same thing, banning me from pc, there is some b*tchin in store for whoever bans me lol. Ok well all i gotta say is that sucks and i hope ur mum lets ya come back and chill!

I am a mum and I understnd where your mum is coming from. I was worried about my son playing all the time and though OMG he is addicted to this Dungeon and Drgon stuff that is written about so much and next thing he'll go nuts and walk outside and shoot real people. But then he showed me gaming and now I am more addicted than he is!

Of course school work is very important because that will affect your whole future life. But remind your mum that gaming was the best thing ever to be invented, especially for young people. Now instead of hanging around the streets, doing drugs, crime or getting into bad company, kids can sit in front of the computer which is much safer and healthier. It also teaches you a lot such as history (WWII) and promotes reflexes and is mentally stimulating (contrary to TV where people do not participate and glumly just sit and watch)

I have some kind of the same problem, but it's not only gaming, for me it's the whole computer stuff. My school-carreer isn't that good, so I had to make some arrangements with my mother. When I com home from school, I have to do some homework before I start using the compu. After that I use the compu, then we have ussually dinner and after dinner I do some homework again and after that I use the compu again. Maybe you can make such an arrangement with your mum.... GOOD LUCK!!!

you guys lucky, comprimise isnt happening in my house. i didnt do much in 8th grade and sucked it up grades wise "no f's though" anyways... they werent the best B's at best C's and 2 d's. now im sophmore in high school and my parents still wont trust me to do my homework instead of playing video games. No comprimising works because im not just getting what they want but im getting what im happy with even though i could do better in school. the rule i have during school year= no video games or access to PC after dinner. which sucks major ass if your getting home and playin with friends for 2 hours and then wanna play some "vids" and do homework of course later. Its come down now to me just lieing flat out and playing when they sleep :) which isnt honest and kinda proves i cant be trusted but they cant push a "freak" gamer like myself around! i say we protest to parents lol.... well im just blabbing on cuz im bored an felt like sharing a story. Have fun reading this. But i mean. i use study halls and class time and shit like that. and then do some after school yet they still think i dont do any work and BS like that. then when i wanna get on aim or go out with a friend its nooooo and blablablal and u cant because you never did your homework even though I DID in class/study hall/after school. they just expect me to lead their boring lives which is seriously boring as fuck all they do is go to movies and watch TV ive never seen a friend of my dad's or mom. I dont want to grow up at all like they have. they severed their ties with old friends and dont even go out with any new ones. well im sharing way too much cuz im tired and bored outta my mind. school starts in 2 days and im still staying up til 3 am im gonna die first day!

well anyways bye have fun wasting ur time readin all this

That is so awesome!! Now you need a home network and play each other! As far as getting banned by your mum, just talk with her and explain the situation, show here Chaka's post. Maybe she will get into it!!

You should be lucky your mom cares about your future. Yes, playing RTCW is a lot of fun, but when you are 30 years old and still living with your mom because your "objective" in life was games and not career, and you are stuck with a part-time job, only then will you understand her perspective.

Do the things she expects from you first. When you show her that your priorities are what she expects, then, I bet she'd be cool about giving you more time to play PC games.
