I reckon the Original was better as she had way more style since she looked so utilitarian, she had matching nacelles to her shuttles(A big plus in my book),she was a good size, she was pretty manouverable, she was well armed etc etc etc.The refit lost all of that charm as she looked like she was weighed down by her engineering hull as it was to big in proportion to the rest of the ship, her saucer was much thinner and was easily punched through as in ST6 TUC.

As Sulu once said: "The refited Enterprise may have been more advanced and some would say more sleaker, But when i think of the Enterprise i will always think of the original"

I think the Refit is aesthetically much more pleasing.

TOS wasn't ugly...It was simply. That being the case...The refit is how Enterprise would've looked had productioni had the money to go all the way.

REFIT for me. This ship was truely a designers calling.

Do you have any numbers on how expensive the production costs of a TOS episode were? If it was low-budget, I'm impressed that it looked that good at the time, that they could pay the actors and still produced many well written episodes. Even today people like it, because of the quality. It's become worldwide known, and that is an impressive achievement.
