Hi, I have just bought Return to Castle Wolfenstein from e-bay, totally new and sealed, No1 disc loads OK, but the second disc just "Locks" up. Can anybody HELP please, I am trying to load it on a brand new Dell laptop. Kindest regards Veryoldgamer. Please e-mail me if req'd
The original RTCW comes on 1 disk only; I’d say you've probably been ripped off.
Are you using the GOTY version or Classic version?
GOTY has two discs. Platinum probably does too.
hey mate .i brought my rtcw in 2000 ,just a single cd.....now i hear the platnum addtion has ET ..right .if you have Nvidia /2000/display/drivers they run really well on rtcw....but however through my own trial...i have my hard drive split in 2 ,40 gigs is 98se ..and 40 gigs is xp pro.....i found that the latest Nvidia displaydrivers cause crashes and freezes.on ET...could you give us your pc specs. I HAVE 64MGB MX400/Nvidia graphics ....but if i upgrade them to there latest drivers.on xp, ET ...runs really bad.eg disconects after every map..error reads server disconected for unknown reasons...freezes, runs bad need your pc specs please!!!! eg amd athlon 2800 cpu asus a7n8x main board 512 ddr ram this might help us diagnose whats going wrong  regards and best of luck mate ;)
>latest drivers.on xp ONLY USE DRIVERS FROM NVIDIA NO MATTER WHAT THE XP UPDATE WIZARD TELLS YOU ABOUT THEM BEING OUT OF DATE! MS APPLIES THEIR OWN VERSION NUMBER SCHEME AND IT OFTEN MAKES EVEN THE NEWEST DRIVERS APPEAR TO BE OUT OF DATE (AND YES I AM SHOUTING!)
you were not ripped off as the platinum edition has 2 cd's.
im using the latest nForce drivers w/ FX 5200 and ET doesnt crash on my comp, P4 1.6ghz (400mhz FSB) 512mb RAM FX5200 128mb XP home edition
