Now time for me to rant and rave. I get so pissed when I am on a team of point whores. We all know the tale tale sign, the round ends in 1 minute, because everyone decides to go lone wolf, and try to assault the other side.

Don't you love that guy who has 15 points and is number 1 with the next in line having 5 points. And of course he is excited because He will never see #1 position any other time.

To me it's better to win with less points, than lose with more points.

Keep in mind that one can get points FOR being a team player. An engineer gets points for setting and defusing dynamite. A leutenant gets points for giving out ammo, a medic for handing out med packs and reviving. A good score can be a direct reflection of a good team player, one that is doing their assigned duty-- for the team.

Is there a minimum amount of points needed to win a game? I've won a game with 12 points. A game finished is a game won. It's just a game.

No minimum, on a server with FF you can win with neg points. Its getting the objectives completed. Forgive my lack of knowlege, but what is RW and TS?

RW = Roger Wilco TS = Team Speak Both are lillte proggies you can use to chat over the internet with your m8s so you don't have to type what you are doing, where you are, etc. Awesome tools. Many clans use one of these.

So what, a voice thing? Does anyone non-clan use them?

Yea, chatting using your mic/headphones usually (feedback). I've hooked up with some non-clans players using RW and played well, kicked arse!!! You don't have to waste time typing. I admin'd a league once and no hardly typed anything, just like "Oops" or "Great Shot". They never typed their commands to their m8s, cuz they wuz talking to them.

Point whores?

Keep in mind that sometimes a lone wolf is not a lone wolf, tactics my friend!

For instance - send entire team to assault FB door except for 1 player who waits hidden near sea wall breach in beach map. Axis team all concentrate around FB fighting off Allies, wait for a convenient air strike to provide smoke cover then sneak by without being seen. For a good player it takes 16 Secs to get from war room to Radio room, by the timethe Axis have been informed the docs are gone it's usually too late (unless you time your run just as the Axis respawn - bad luck).

If you have a good team playing they can take advantage of these opportunities (or like me you have fast internet connection - small lan with dedicated linux server - we had 4 players in an internet game once and we were all in same room).

Played against one team once where they had a good trick. One pinches docs and hides in Murder Hole waiting until other members start coming up radio stairs to pull all axis there cause they think docs are coming that way, then dashes in behind them.
