I found a GE optical mouse on Clearance at Target a few months ago for only $10. It hasn't dissapointed me since.

Yeah, I finally went optical. Microsoft two button with the red LEDs. It was on sale at officedepot for $15. Great if you are used to the feel of a regular MS mouse, hardly takes any time to get used to using it. I put a big square of this teflon mesh sticky stuff down onto my desk so it slides around like a dream. This helps a lot too.
