I'm In Crypt 1 And Have A Rifle That Won't Kill The Flame Thrower. The Gates Are Down And The Doors Should But Won't Open. Any Suggestions Or Do I Have To Start Over

It is so nice of you to reply. I ended up starting back a few games because I only had a rifle and was almost dead. I wish I had done a true "save" instead of the quick saves. This is a great lesson.

The easiest way to kill the first Flamethrowing skeleton is (assuming you've got some) by using a stick of dynamite on the place where he comes up from. That's how I killed him anyway.

f5 f5 f5!!! Always save your game when you get your health up so you don't have to replay sections over and over. Another tip is to try to complete each level with FULL health or close to it.

The way I take out the flame throwing zombie is to stay back out of the range of his flames and snipe him with the scoped mauser. About 4 or 5 shots to the head does the trick. This works faster than trying to blast him with a thompson or mp40.

Single player is always great. I completed it on the hardest level a few times. (easier when you have an idea what to expect in the game)

good luck

Back in the days I used to pick up the Flamethrower on Beach map and spam "Clear the path!" so I can torch those poor bastids. These days I see people trying way too hard with the Flamethrower, I see this one guy on ET I swear has his mouse sensitivity way up because when he jumps and moves, he spins like 7 times making a farris wheel out of the flamethrower it makes me laugh!

Tactic; like said previously, stay back and you'll have no probs, have plenty of nades if you're indoors and suspect a flamethrower is up ahead.

:nodding: :agreed: NEVER use the Mp40 or the Thompson to take those ones down always use sniper, like the people above said. If you use the Thompson or the Mp40, you will waste a lot of ammo, and ammo is important :)

Sniper Rifle?? Sure, I guess. I just toss a few nades at the flame throwers>> If you are good enuff, you can run up close, lob a nader, then scoot back. Repeat as nessassary. Dyno is a good idea too, but I like to save it for Helga Von Monster b!tch >> makes for great screenshots
