I hope I'm not annoying people by starting a new topic on this, but the subject line of the old topic on Borg War is misleading. What I'd like to do is to use this topic for discussion of the actual film and to give this board a heads-up as each episode is released.

As many of you know, Borg War is a feature-length animated Star Trek fan film starring the voices of Patrick Stewart, Tim Russ and Brock Peters.

Borg War, which was created using Trek-themed computer games, was nominated last year in two categories for the "Mackie", an award given to game-generated video projects.

Borg War Episode 1 is now available for download and streaming at the following link:

http://www.machinima.com/films.php?id=4765

The eight remaining episodes will be released on Machinima.com each Friday over the next eight weeks. Each Friday at 9pm Pacific, Machinima.com will host a live forum to discuss Borg War and how to do Star Trek-themed animation using inexpensive computer games. The forum is at:

http://www.machinima.com/PHPBB/viewforum.php?f=35

If you've got the time, join me there. Needless to say, I'm happy to discuss the movie here in whatever aspects might interest people. In particular, I was thinking that folk on this board would be interested in specifics about modding EF2.

Very impressive, good use of Starfleet Commad 3 and Elite Force along with a good story so far (love the references to Star Fleet Command's plot). I consider this link worthy. Very nice work.

Borg War Episode 2 is now live. Summary: Jureth, eldest son of the House of Mi'qoch, suspecting that the Empire faces a Borg invasion, calls upon the Federation for help. Captain Picard sends Captain Tuvok to investigate using the Dallas, a Defiant-class ship highly modified for reconnaissance in Borg space. Meanwhile, General Mi'qoch (patriarch of the House) must use the power of the Empire's heaviest-armed Starbase to defeat a Borg menace unlike any the Alpha quadrant has seen before. Download or stream it from here: http://www.machinima.com/films.php?id=4992

Episode 3 of BORG WAR is now available at: http://www.machinima.com/films.php?id=5234 In this episode, when Captain Tuvok's investigation on the Borg planet goes, his attempt to escape inadvertently reveals that the Dallas is equipped with a Romulan cloaking device. This visible symbol of the Federation detent with the Romulans drives a wedge between the Federation and the Klingons.

Episode 4 of Borg War is available at: http://www.machinima.com/films.php?id=5433 In this episode, Picard's team of experts (including Kleeya, daughter of Seven of Nine) determines that the incursion is the result of an exobiological infection that has taken control of a Borg colony. Despite opposition of the House of Mi'Qoch, Picard plans to use hybrid Federation/Romulan technology to cripple the threat, potentially destroying the Klingon/Federation alliance

Episode 5 of Borg War is now available. http://www.machinima.com/films.php?id=9564 The Mi'Qoch clan wrests control of the Dallas from Captain Tuvok, endangering the assault on the Borg Planet. But Arai, the Romulan “lieutenant” aboard the Dallas, has other plans -- for the ultimate benefit of the Romulan Star Empire.
