I don't generally find his stuff funny, but this new series is a live-action, obvious Star Trek spoof / send-up.

Problem is, Sci-Fi comedy is very hard to get right, only two good examples come to mind, Futurama and Red Dwarf.

No doubt Patrick Stewart will turn up at some point though.

Thoughts?

Got shown this yesterday and frankly Laughed most of the preview.  I'm hoping that the actual show turns out well (I don't know about you, but I could use more shows like Red Dwarf!). Although with Mcfarlane in charge, I also have some concerns about repetitive dick and fart jokes which he tends to fall back on once he runs out of other ideas.  Hoping for the best, though!

Huh. That actually looks surprisingly good. Good production values, a star cast(they even got Victor Garber in there - he doesn't do anything that's not worth watching).
