"No!I will not sacrifice the Enterprise. We've made too many compromises already; too many retreats. They invade our space and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further! And I will make them Pay for what they've done! "
So what happened to Picard in the Movies?
He Killed more than half his crew just to kill off the Borg He bawls and cries now.. He has fitts of rage
Is this the New and Improved Picard or a massive deviation brought to us by B&B...

that is the words of a man who knows the borg better than most (having been one himself). he knows what he's doing (even though he desires revenge). if you don't like that character trait, then that's fair enough, but don't go blaming berman/braga for that.
Exactly what I'm saying...
He knows the Borg and he was Borg... His crew defied everything just to get him back...
Do you realized that from first contact onward its almost an entirely different crew.
"Tough Luck,huh."- Lillly
when was he crying??in nemesis well i understand that actually he sees his own and his other me is a badass and he needs to kill actually his other me! Thats like killing yourself!! But indeed of first contact woof that was hard!! He was actually right about that!! But he had lost if he started to fight vs the borg so self destruct was the best way!!
In Generations the dude was bawling..... I'm like what the crap
wow remember indeed but what he says its completely true!!! You see in all those years he was quarreling with his brother and finally they were friends and the generation picard was getting further BUt then he hears that his brother is dead (and finally they were close) and his "son" you can say is also dead and the entire generation picard is completely dead so he feels himself lost! Bye the way its great that he cries because you see another personality behind the battle and diplomatic captain!
I don't know
I found it disturbing...Patrick Stwart did a great job but that's not what I saw over the past seven years

I think its just a very well handled evolution of the character of Picard. In the TNG series we see the hardened no nonsense Captain that he is who has a more sentimental side that he keeps under tight lock and key. But to him his crew are his family (especialy after the deaths of his blood relatives). Then he is asimilated, loses his individuality, becomes bart of the collective hive mind. When he is rescued he feels that he has to be the same tough as nails Captain he always has been. Some of this pain and other emotions comes out with his brother, but he is left with still this need to amke them pay for what they did. So in First Contact he finally comes face to face with his own inner and outer demons I think the character has certainly gone through some changes in the movies but that is what the best characters do they grow.
Don't forget there are gaps of years betwwen the movies in the trek timeline
yeah like tom paris for example.. First he was the scum, a traitor.. then he was alone but tried to change his personality by making friends. He's getting friends and got a girlfriend his married and medic and best pilot of the quadrant oke i see this and im thinking in myself why do i write this...:)
A far as the fan is concerned it happened over night....
