Is there a framerate limit in Generals/ZeroHour at all? If so, how does one go about turning it off? I am getting unacceptable framerates with my new 9800 pro..The gaming benchmarking site talk about "turning off the framerate limiter before testing." Anyone know? Thanks in advance..
I have never heard of one. but dont listen to that site. if you got a 9800pro and you getting sucky framerate its not cause of a limiter, a gamecompany would never put a frame limiter on with a setting that would make you dissapointed, most games i know that have a framelimiter put it at 60, thats not to high or low enough to piss you off. always a good chance its whats running in the background that peridically hogging proc. power. try going into your services.msc and turning off any services you dont need to run the game, i guarantee there are a few processes or more depending on you OS you can stop and turn off to save some processsing cycles. if your not familiar with this stuff just say.
I know a friend of mine got an ATI tool wich allows you to see the framerate at any time. Maybe you should look it up :-)
ps: I never heard of a frame lifter or any game that has a max fps. I gues it's the hardware and speed of your pc wich makes the fps possible. When a computer is busy (badly defragmented or otherwise) then the frames per second will be lower then when it's clean/less busy.
