Hello all i'm new to the SFC III Envrionment i played SFC 1 and a bit of two years ago, b ut what most intrigued me was the dynaverse 3 thing, i was just wondering if it is still being played rather frequently and when i get the game form e-bay tom., although i would probably (Expletive Deleted) in my pants if it came today. I just wanted to know if as soon as i got it working on my mac that i could find a online game to play. Thanks.

I think there are people playing some of the mods online, but I don't know if anyone is still playing the plain vanilla game anymore.

Try the big mods. The latest Alternate Universe mod should have quite a few people playing on thier server, and Generations at War might also be another good one. There's also Near Distant Future, Sedition, and Dominion Wars (all highly reccommended, by the way), but I'm not sure if they're dead or not. As you may be able to tell, I reccommend modding the game. The plain ol' stock SFC III is rather dissappointing compared to the superior SFC 1 or 2. In my opinion, you should have gotten Orion Pirates, and If you wanted a "next generation" era Star Trek game, downloaded the Universe at War mod from here.
