Hey! I'm still alive. Been awhile, but just wanted to let any of you fellow SFC III folks know not to chuck your game just yet. Have recently been testing the mod with Window 7 and found that it works even better than with XP. My mod would have been ready for download earlier this year, but a registry glitch within the game and then folks working with me going on to other projects left this mod on ice for awhile. However, I am back into it now and working on the game as we speak. I originally projected an early 2014 release and if all goes well, that's when this mod will be ready. Keep an eye on my page for updates and I'll provide a link for download off of GameFront as soon as it becomes available. :cya:

The Federation, Klingons, Typhon Alliance and Species 8472 has been tested and everything is running great! These will be the four playable races. Now working on the AI races. These will consist of the Borg, Cardassian/Dominion Alliance, Ferengi, Romulan Republic, Rekelli, and Orions.

Muwhahahaha! The Borg are bad-ass! Love the adaptive AI feature - turning some things on that Taldren left open but incomplete or off has yielded some interesting results during game play. The Borg in this mod adaptation are broken and in chaos. Following the events of future Janeway and the Second Borg invasion, the Borg are left without their primary queen and the Hive Mind is fractured. Combine that with an insistent threat from Species 8472 and you'll find the Borg to be wound up and intent on destroying anything in their path...assuming they don't destroy each other in the process. During game play, often you will warp into a system to find Borg vessels battling each other. If you are careful, you can flip a hex or gain prestige without drawing attention to yourself, but as my Beta testers have found, if you fire on these ships, they will target you instead! :)

Have two more AI to add, balance the planets and added custom mission scripts. map is working well and the anatomist AI Taldren put in the game but never turned on, has been switched on and the game is making some rather interesting interactions with neighboring empires. My beta testers and programmer has been invaluable in catching errors and general code issues that for the most part we have been able to resolve. Unfortunately, as many of you know, the game was never finished and we've had to be creative to make what we want work. that said...

Playable races: Federation, Klingon, Typhon Pact Alliance and Species 8472. (Alternative playable races that may be released at a future point will be the Romulan Republic and the Rakelli).

The game follows cannon and non-cannon (book) story boarding following the second Borg invasion of 2381 up to the dawn of the 25th Century. References to The stock story line for the out-of-box game, Star Trek: Nemesis, The Hobus disaster depicted in Abrams, Trek and of course, the Star Trek: Typhon Pact series by Pocket Books are included. The story line ties all of this together with a few teaser nods to Star Trek: On Line. The idea was to release a mod that smoothed out convergent timelines and tie them in to a close as possible cannon story and game play.

Really excited about how this mod is coming together. Several dozen new ships have been added, to included the Odyssey class (Enterprise F), Integrity class, Luna class and Vesta class. If all goes well, we should have it uploaded here and to GF downloadable page by March of 2014.
