Yes. I would like to know this myself as I must be missing something from what I've tried.

Aye. I tried too, but failed. I'd say it lies in one of the .xml files, but i dont know what one is for skirmishes.

Guys, have a look at the following file: Drive\InstallationLocation\Star Trek Legacy\ui\multiplayer.xml In this file, is at least where you can select from the four main races and possibly add another. Open the file with Notepad and search for: Borg It will bring you to the line of the Borg race selection script and will look as such: Naturally, the end of the Borg part of the script will be the next instance of you come across and the end of the entire list should be signified by which just happens to be after the Borg selection. Here is an example of a full Race selection: borg There are two things you need to look at here that stand out. 1. The name of the Race, borg is entered in three seperate locations. The one in CAPS being the obvious text string displayed in-game. Also, the location of the Race selection itself in the menu defined as y and u. the y value seems to decrease in size as each race is listed. Federation starts with a y value of 200 and borg finishes with a y value of 50. I have not been able to add a Race to the game yet, due largly to the fact I have not been focusing on it. But I hope this gives someone a head start or if someone already knows and can save you all from reading my long winded attempt at explaing what I dont know..... that would be great.

Thanks for that Acid. I'm going to give this a go, although I'm not entirely certain how the M3d filesname race denotion works with what ones are displayed on the skirmish/mp fleet construction screen.

No probs. I would be interested in any information you may have acquired on the M3d relationship in this issue. If you could post here or send to my e-mail that would be cool. Otherwise let us all know how you go!

Well after some additional help from a good modder friend it would appear its down to the ODF race entry name. The Region y= entry looks like its some sort of button size. I tried 25 and got a bad overlapping of the buttons. I'm not entirely sure how to make the selection drop down larger at this point, but the ship I chose worked okay (still having a wierd random crash but that could just be me).

Yeah, its all down to that drop down menu size. Either we need to figure that out or change the menu type. ie change it to a left/right selector like the map menu.
