Jesus, what happened??!! How in the name of hell can anyone complain about anything these guys have done for STL? Anyone who a one shred of a creative nature must know what committment and patience is required to do what these guys have done. The modding community for any game platform is a vital, I repeat, vital part of taking what is commonly known as 'beta' release to games, and we all know what a mess the original release of STL was, and making them, advancing them to something any person or community could be proud of. I play GPL, F1C, rFactor, every kind of Star Trek game you can name, and I have never known a more eager, humble and responsive modding community than the STL community. I feel this is in most part due to the severly lacking original release. Come on people, wise up, complaining about things your get for free is not an honorable position to be in. I thank you guys every day, every torpedo launched, every time I fly my Chandley. I am sorry that things have turned out this way, but thank you for all of your efforts. Please keep the faith. Talk to you soon.

saultenian;3684451Jesus, what happened??!! How in the name of hell can anyone complain about anything these guys have done for STL?[/quote] When people want a mod, they want everything. They want all of the 'flashy extras'. But Major Payne didn't provide these due to reasons he already stated, which got people annoyed. I fail to see why people need all of these flashy extras anyway when Major Payne's conversions look great as they are.

Many people are quite selfish when it comes to mods. If they're not to their liking, they get their back up. However, people are entitled to their opinion about it, within reason. Some of the comments against Major Payne's work were rather rude, which in turn led him to make this decision.

If more people were as easy to please as you, we wouldn't need to have comment moderators. I am sure your kind words are appreciated by the modders themselves. :)

I think the most people are fair enough not to get rude! But there are a few guys who think they could complain about everything and get rude! What a pity!

I'm with saultenian, none of these guys are in any way obligated to do what they do, and they do it with their own free time. If it wasn't for them, not only would STL still be the shabby terrible original release, hundereds of other games would be dull and boring. Modders breathe new life into games by correcting mistakes and offering new takes on it with new aspects and all the addons, not to mention the beta releases as saultenian pointed out. Their is no reason at all to be rude, if you don't like any certain mod, no one has a gun to your head, you don't like it, don't download it and make your own mod on your own time, cause I don't see you doing any work. Major Payne has done so much for alot of Trek games and he deserves no less then to be held in high regards with the utmost praise, along with all the other hard working modders. Thank all of you for making STL the game that it is today, you guys are awesome! Rock on! :P
