Why there is no mod farscape for any game (just for homeworld) I have many models farscape ship files and i have a permission for created a mod by they models creators. But i'm not have many experience in modding and created a ship its so difficult for me, im novice. If personn can help me or start again works him to create these vessels, i give they farscape files models and homeworld/farscape ship files, please. I was in your boat not too long ago too. Its not too hard. To get a ship into Legacy (port), there are three basic parts, your model (.m3d) your textures & icon (.dds) and your scripts for the ship and weapons(.odf). If you do not already have milkshape, you will need it. It costs about $35 but it is well worth the dollar. Milkshape come with a variety of importers and exporters, so as long as your lightwave models are not enormous, they should import into milkshape easily. To export them for Legacy you will need the Mad3d exporter at Milkshape 3D Mad3d Export Plugin V0.85b, Star Trek: Legacy Downloads, Star Trek: Legacy Modding Tools. The porting process is pretty simple. There are two good tutorials, Porting Tutorial by gdata, Star Trek: Legacy Downloads, Star Trek: Legacy Tutorials and Guide To Modding Volume 4 - Porting, Star Trek: Legacy Downloads, Star Trek: Legacy Tutorials If you dont have photoshop, there are ways to get it by torrent, or you can use GIMP, which is free. To export from GIMP to .dds, you will have to find the .dds exporter (which is kind of crappy), or use the TGA-DDS converter. .TGA to .DDS Converter, Star Trek: Legacy Downloads, Star Trek: Legacy Modding Tools If you need any help there are plenty of salty modders who are more than willing to help out here. Farscape would be an outstanding addition to the universe, so good luck.

I don't do modeling or porting myself, but I can tell you they certainly are "good enough" but my estimate is they are "way too good" a quality.

From the looks of those screenshots they are almost certainly "enormous", or the more accurate "to complicated" for Legacy. The poly count on those looks very high. If they turned out to not be too high a poly count to use you could be fine, otherwise you could easily be looking at having to rebuild them practically from scratch using the high poly models as a baseline.

Muldrf you have right they models seems to be too voluminous too much polygon. They are in lightwave6.5 format and when i exporte in lightwave5, LW shwo me : "count exceeds maximum LWOB supported" I expotre in .OBJ but milkshape dont import this file. It is possible to reduce a parameter to use they files?

(When i reduce polys its possible to export and open with milkshape but the texture have many dammage but not the model only textur, maybe if a personne can help me for a modification of texture or lights please ?)

Sorry, I didnt mean to patronize. If you can open them in another program can you get a poly count? I've never been able to open anything in Milkshape higher than 100,000, so if they are close, you might be able to selectively remodel parts to lower overall count. Domes, engines, round guns would be where I would start.

I think the model its not the problems but the texture and lights effect its possible this is they problems. If a personne can retexturing the model for have a model who can open in milkshape because im novice its so difficult for me a retexturation its so hard for my actually competence, please. Thanks
