There is a free product called GIMP that is a pretty good product and can do a lot of the stuff PS can do, not all but hey it's free.

GIMP? MUHAHAHA. no. seriously it is crap... paint is better than GIMP >_> in german there's even a negtive saying about GIMP: "Ich glaub ich krieg den GIMP!" engl: hard to translate but sth like this: "I think i am going to get a GIMP!" (GIMP is in that saying associated with sth liek an illness ;) )

The admiral is correct... However I downloaded a free trial version of Adobe Photoshop CS from Adobe's website. I then downloaded the DDS plugin.. I have my own version of Corel paintshop pro XI which I purchased (it's 20 times better than adobe) but the thing doesn't support DDS files nor has a valid plugin for it. Therefore I use adobe to open the DDS file, I then transfer it to Corel and do the modifications to the texture there. Then I transfer it back to adobe and save as a DDS..However it is tedious and I will only have it for another 11 or so days so I might either have to find a plugin for Corel or else I will have to keep downloading a free trial of Adobe CS...:uhm:

I don't know if you are able to download multiple Trials... but if you like CS2 or not depends on the person ^_^ I for myself dislike the Corel ;)
