I modified the NX-02 into two new ships, with the basename = F_NX_02. IS there anyway that I can add textures to these two new ships, and how so?

Hi Lokian I think you can use the hex editor for this.

With a hex editor you can replace the textures the model uses, however you cannot add to the file. So for example a texture for the NX Class is called;

F_NX01_A

As you cannot add to the model you must name your texture something like;

L_NX01_A.

You'd need to at least copy the m3d file that is relative to the ship and then edit which texture files it is to recognise. You can of course create, for example, a copy of some stock textures, rename those and then apply them to your 'new' model.

All right thanks all. I was hoping I could just rename the .m3d and textures, but I don't know how .odf's link to .m3d's and then texture files. x_x
