a basin of water

right, I consider myself a noob when it comes to legacy although I was for surer one of the first germans to buy it (early from a dl-site). but I was pissed by the quality and I buried it deep because of the bad gameplay.
anyway from what I can tell browsing to legacy files now and then you guys have done a fantastic job so far by making this interesting again.
over at a2 we got sort of a project "vanilla", aiming to get textures, grafics, gameplay and AI on a level that makes the best out of a stock version -without adding new ships, races or such.
additional to the patch - what -from your experience- would be the mods that fit in this category and in what order would they have to be installed?

Well if your sticking along the borders of vanilla Legacy(no additional ships or races)then you might want to try this out(Keys Of Legacy +). There is however a sort of curve ball when it comes to installing this though(I suggest you read what I first wrote on the comment section)and I don't believe the official patch is necessary. ;)

I didn't make it!
aftermath aims at getting the best lighting and visual quality possible. i use it and love it and recommend it to anybody. it also uses stock meaning if your a modder or normal user, your not confined to making or using mods only for tb2 or uu. also, aftermath has improved many of the stock textures. the akira, notably looks simply epic.

oem+ 2.0 is good, basically the stock game with minor enhancements and a complete overhaul of the ships and weapons to create perfect balance. the next version, what ever I'm going to call it, is vastly better. this version is all that with gameplay as close to cannon as the engine will allow. been working on it on and off lattly, i'll get it done eventually.
