Does anyone know how to find the properties that will extend the long rang sensor rang. Its not in the Long range sensor ODF as far as I can tell. nothing worked their form me.

I looked in both the main file and the orinance file and the only line dealing with its range is "not used". So, basically its a dead end.

What Muldrf said works, but unfortunately for all ships, I believe. Do you want to change the range for a mission or simply a ship? You can use mission scripting to make crafts visible to you, based on the distance.

Also individual ships if you increase their sensorlevel it will increase the range, but after a certain point it gets way past the display ability of the fleet selection menu and looks stupid (usually 2000+).

dude, i can make you a customized script for long ranged sensors....or better yet, in several of my ship mods, i've created new long range sensors that not only extend to the other end of the map, but last longer and recharge faster. you have my permission to use them :). download my Federation Warbird mod. thats one where i can think where you can use it.

I will check out all of these and down load "tj_hawk's" warbird and check it out. basically I have been working on a colossal map and would like to scan an entire star system witch is about the size of a larger map. Long range sensors just need to be longer range.
