Okey, after you read this you may think: "is he drunken or something?" but really i need ur help with this.

okey i start with what i do have already.

I did a ship and im pretty happy how it turned out. the mesh is nearly done, it just needs some more special details. id say 95% is done. i am also pretty far with the texture coordinates, maybe 90% done. only the f***ing textures are everything else than finished. id say 3% done...

and here starts my problem... the ship lies there in its folder and i just dont touch it! I know i could finish the ship in a few weeks, but it does already lie there for months, coz i dont do anything with it.

I could say i dont touch it, because i havent the time, which is caused by my job. but to be honest, that isnt true. And every other modder knows that the words "ive no time" do mean nothing else than "im bored of working on the mod" or "i dont know how to do the next step".

For me the reason is probably "i m bored of it"... on the one hand i would be so happy to see it done and flying ingame but on the other hand i know all the tiny and big things ive to create and problems ive to deal with when i continue with this ship.

So what i need is someone who can convince me of continuing on my mod. and i need some hints and tricks which do help me being more interested in my mods for a longer time period.

Can you post some screenshots? It's almost the same here, but I start 5 different projects then, and so it just takes longer and sometimes projects simply get "canceled". I have still two models sitting here without textures...maybe for the last three months.

Anyway, if you want to get motivated, you should post screenshots and read only the posts telling you that the model is freaking good :D .

Well ofcourse it's going to be a good model FahreS is making it...

I've got so many projects to do an I have some I haven't touched in 8 months... Mostly due to limited time, but not only due to that. The project I've been putting off 8 months is the single most massive mission script I've even dreamed working on and I haven't even started to fill it out with content. In honesty it's practically a small campaign, and might be one when it's done (if I do it). Really I'm just looking at how much work it is going to be and thinking I'm not interested.. I find myself finding a lot of stuff that is "more important" or "more fun to work on" might be the better fit.

Yeah the ff forums went back online but my update - still - isnt complete. I dont want to publish old screenshots and i also dont want to create new screenshots until ive finished the next step, so there are no pictures to post.

thank you, especially for the first sentence :bows:

"Really I'm just looking at how much work it is going to be and thinking I'm not interested.."

i coulnd't have said it better, thats exactly my main problem.

ive also some old mods lying around, some of them ive totally forgotten of, lol. but sometimes i get back to old mods, i try to enhance them a little, do the final steps and release them years or so^^ after ive started them. My main problem with those old unfinished mods is their low quality, coz whenever i create a mod, its quality is better than the quality of the one before. and releasing old rubbish is not a great thing^^
