Finally I have also been affected with the 'mission-fever' again and decided to create a new mission. I will post a video of the opening cinematic when it's done. I also thought about doing voiceovers for it myself, so maybe you'll be able to listen to my German accent :naughty:. But as German accents probably suck (a French or Russian would be better, I guess) I'll try my very best ;)
Oh, and I've got a question. Does anyone know whether the SetCrew() function works when you have your ship patroling at the moment? Because I want to get my ship to a constant speed and don't want it to have to accelerate when doing my cinematic. And what's the range of the values I can insert in that function? Thanks in advance.
Voiceovers are a problem in Legacy. The voiceover effects from the Captains, are a bit limited, and are generally only a few words. It is very difficult to string a sentence together with them. Perhaps with the 'Credit Crunch' William Shatner or Patrick Stewart would come and do a few voiceovers for a few quid!
I'm not sure if setcrew() works while a ship is patrolling.. I've thought about that too in the past but not had the chance to attempt it. I haven't worked on actual missions since the end of last year, more mode type scripts and they don't get much use of cinematics. I have been trying to get back to it forever, but other modding duties keep taking precedence.. :(
Yea, same here. I have at least 5 projects running here at the same time...so It takes ages to finish one of them. The advantage of it is that you simply can do something else when you get bored by one thing. So I'll give it a try and tell you when I found out....
I found out that this function acutally works:
SetCraftCinematicSpeed(Handle Ship, float speed); The speed value can be unlimited, I tried 1000.0f and then my ship flew with 1000Mmps ingame...so you will have to reset it after you used it.
