Ive been trying in vain to allow specific weapons, such as photons to pass through shields. Looking through the odfs there's a line (in photono) which reads : // for testing purposes only // ignoreShield = 1;

Ive tried messing around with the line [in that file but also in specific weapon odf files] but it wont allow a photon to directly attack the hull :(. (yes the // were removed). I do know however that occasionally when you fire a torpedo at a ship with shields up that the hull takes damage and the shields don't. Does anyone know where that variable is?

Doesn't one of the moded ships have a transphasic or multi-phasic torpedo, as i recall in star trek those should match shield freq. and go through. and to the random shot of torpedos going through, i think legacy might actually assign an energy freq. to each shot to keep some of star trek realism and sometimes the programt to designate freq. manages to sync. the weapon with the shields listed freq. setting. and i do beleive that the results of this may also allow a multi-pase phaser beam ( a shield ignoring pahser) to be made as well.but

The transphasic torpedo was just a shoddy mod that put in a torpedo that dealt 1500 points of damage to whatever it hit. Not even close to an actual transphasic torpedo...
