As part of my 5 months being on Legacy Files, I thought i should let some of you know im re-releasing my first mod with new textures, my Steamrunner Pulse Refit. Generally when I first learned to mod, this mod had pulse phasers all over the ship.
Granted this became popular with a 10 when it was first released, i kinda felt it was overpowered, and it needed to be as equal as the defiant. So I cut it down by replacing the side pulse phasers with the phasers it orginally came with.
As well, I've re-scripted the torpedos to last longer, shoot from a longer range, and increased it's accuracy to hit an enemy ship with ease.
Expect this re-release sometime this week.
after dealing with some issues...and me not getting any sleep in the last 15 hours trying to re-script my mistake lol. heres a shot of what it looks like at first glance.
see! i told you you had the ability to make some quality mods! this retexturing is what i'd like to see more of. its not textured like the patchwork elephant and thats certainly a good thing. That evaluation may be a bit blunt and probably mean, but we know you are capable of more and this proves it. your focusing more on detail and the ships existing hull layout which is better than painting the entire thing bright green. well done :) a good 2.0.
EDIT: notice the difference in texturing in the negh'var in the background and the steamrunner. the steamrunner styles textures is what you want to aim for and beyond.
thanks acid...it's been a pain in the butt realizing i was "using" a trek battles 2 ODF file and not the stock. lol. but anyways, a few more tweaks to it script wise, and it'll be ready for release.
well you'll expect the Pulse Class to be up sometime in the next 24 to 48 hours, my second release is my Galaxy Borg Refit. Some people orginally didn't like it despite the fact:
A) It was too overpowered B) Weapon ODF files were overwritten C) It only worked for Trek Battles 2
So despite those issues I'm going to attempt an complete overhaul of this mod and try to make it to overyone's liking. What I had planned on doing is making the borg weapons slightly weaker and installing my signature Quantum Phasers. This mod is gonna take some time for me to get the scripts, textures, and all around feel to it right. :)

what did you use to texture
well im using the stock galaxy textures to and tinting it dark gray - blackish color. i wanted to do the nacelles green or red green....even a blue green. but to me it'll look too ugly and lose appeal too quickly.
and instead of having borg and quantum torpedoes, i've actually decided to use transphasic torpedos i scripted myself.
not to mention i've decided to lose the borg phasers as well. letting them stay where they need to be, but having them be slightly stronger.
right now im just fixing a few texture problems i ran into.
borg ship inplants? borg ships arent borg ships without the borg textures slapped on the hull!
well its not really a borgish ship persay. more like a Borg Attack i orginally began being into that direction and decided it's going to be a Borg Attack Ship, One designed for taking on the borg. :P
