Hey, I was wondering if it was possible to copy a model and then apply new textures to it, so that both the new AND old textures showed up on different ships. For example, have the stock ship and one copy of the ship with new textures and have both show up in game. I'm told that Legacy has no modelling importer as of yet, so I wouldn't know how to reassign the new textures without simply overwriting the old ones. Is there any way this can be done? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe this can be done with a Hex Editor. I warn you though, in my opinion, those things are buggers to use and very confusing if you use them for the first time.

You can get one from here.

I am sure this can be done alternatively, as i have seen files that use the same model, but different textures. Someone else may-be able to give you a heads up on what to do there.
