Are "all these ships" showing up in Skirmish? If not you must be doing something wrong.

As for otherwise.. It could have to do what era the ships are in OR more accurately what Dates the Ships are in Service. See Each Mission takes place in a Specific YEAR. To have a ship available to select it must have service dates that overlap that year.

That's why you can't get a Galaxy, Intrepid, Sov, Defiant etc for Picard's First Mission with the Stargazer. It's a TNG Mission, but it's "Date" is before those were put in service.

To find the mission Dates open the \Star Trek Legacy\Campaign\Legacy\Legacy.xml (or Legacymissions.xml) It will list all the dates of each mission.

Then look at the odf files for "all these ships". They will be in the \odf\ships\ folder. Check that the "StartDate=" and "EndDate=" include the date of the Mission.

Say a mission happens to have a date of 2321. Then for a ship to showup for that mission it has to have a StartDate of 2321 Or Eariler and and End Date of 2321 or Later. So a ship with a StartDate=2244 & EndDate=2311 or StartDate=2350 & EndDate=2400 won't show up for that mission but a ship with StartDate=2244 & EndDate=2321 would. Or even Start of 2320 and End of 2400.. etc.

it could be that or he's using stock legacy and didn't rename and/or the db.pak file...

If the ships use nonstock odf filenames the db.pak won't matter but if they are replacements/edits of odf files that exist in stock it could be the db.pak.

Any New odf file that gets put into Legacy does get picked up even with the db.pak in there, but any edited odf files won't show any changes as long as the db.pak is left intact.

Okay... the dates thing makes sense... I will try that. The ships do work in Skirmish, thats just not where I wanted to use them! LOL! I will make sure the dates match up. Thank you for your help! Bernice!

Ya Skirmish uses Era Date Ranges. Something along the lines of ENT 2100-2199, TOS 2200-2299, TNG 2300-2400, and All Eras is like 2100-2400. Those aren't the exact date ranges you should see the idea. Anything that fits inside those service dates will show up in skirmish/multiplayer.

Like TJ said the db.pak could give you some issues depending on what ships they are. UU and some other big mods recreate the db.pak every time they are run, but stock legacy never recreates it. Renaming or deleting it causes legacy to read all the odf files.
