We now know how this works, so I will explain it as good as I can! 1. Create a material with Milkshape on your model, where the registry shall appear 2. Name it alpha_logo_name 3. Create a mesh node called m_alpha_logo_name 4. Assign the textures (e.g. F_Nova_logo.dds) to the material 5. Assign the other textures in the odf file And you should have created registries before you do this! I hope I could help those who didn't get this working!

hehe he forgot sth: you ahve to do a little "extra mesh" which "hovers" above the hull and that mesh will have the registry texture^^

no i was asking if you were doing sods or m3d files using my exporter. if you are using my exporter then name the mesh and material stlogo or anytihng containing 'logo' and it will set up that mesh part and material to be an alpha logo and sort it correctly so it renders on top of the ship model. piece of cake.

yea just clearing it up a little. when i saw the m_alpha_logo_name and stuff i got confused. like i said i wrote the exporter to pick out the name 'logo' and go by that. i personally use stlogo like the stock ships to name the mesh and material. whatever you like is fine, good luck on the models.

We were just a bit confused..... Could you release a Beta of your Importer so that we could see how the break up parts are working. And if you do not want to release, would you sent it via e-mail? (borg-datenbankATquantentunnelDOTde) But another question: We got the registries working, but only one registry shows up, so do we have to create a mesh for every logo file? gdata
