I've been playing Legacy for a while now and I like the pulse phasers on the Enterprise-A and the refit... how do I get those phasers on ships like the NX-01 class?

I just wanna know how to change the Photon torpedo loadouts. Surely ships should be carrying more what they have in the game?????

The Constitution and Constitution Refit don't have Pulse Phasers.

Constitution class phasers have a blue color and are a beam. Constitution Refit class has phasers that appear like a series of "pulsed" shots, but that is because of the Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. If u haven't seen it, watch it. Bloody good ST film! Both the Reliant (Miranda class Refit) and the Enterprise have the same Phaser special effects.

(Just to be pedantic and a pain the bee hind, the Enterprise NCC-1701-A was the rebuilt Enterprise that came into being at the end of STIV: The Voyage Home. Each subsequent Enterprise after that used the same system. Enerrpise B = NCC-1701-B An Excelsior class refit I think. Enterprise C = NCC-1701-C Ambassador class Enterprise D = NCC-1701-D Galaxy class Enterprise E = NCC-1701-E Sovereign class)

Go into the .odf files for the Refit ships....and like at the weapons...it will give you a file name for the phasers used. Now just copy and paste the phaser file name in the refit file to replace the file name in the NX .odf file.

Now go to the C:Legacy and look for a file called config.cfg. Open that up with notepad. Not sure how much you know about programming but all the lines that have // in front of them are just notes..the game doesn't read these as commands. Go down the file until you see a line without // in front of it. Go above that line and paste the following g_bGeneratePackFile = 1 This tells the game to read the odf files instead of the da.pak

Removing the db.pak works the best. Changing photon loadouts is as simple as changing the # in the ships file.

From what i have read from other topics on this forum, removing that file can cause problems with the name.

I renamed the file to db.old and everything works fine. Also quite useful: if i want to play modded version i rename the file and if i want to play original version i rename file to original again. If anyone wants to post an odf redesign I suggest posting the refreshed db.pak-file.

I'm new to modding and ive made a refit for the intrepid. I'm interested in changing the color of the torpedoes but i'm not sure how to. Help would be great.
