Hey all, hope you're all doing well.
There's an odd graphics error with a ship I recently added to Legacy. I added in the TNG Constitution, and while the ship performs fine, there is a problem with the textures. Namely, the ship's name and registry are all oversized and some are in the wrong location. I attached four images (JPG) of the ship in game to show you what I mean. Looking at the page for the ship, it doesn't appear that this is a problem for the people who downloaded it. I will say that I am running Legacy on the UU mod version 1.03 with both the Ultimate Borg and Ultimate Dominion pack, if that helps any.
Since this isn't a major issue, if there is no resolution, that's fine. It just won't be one of my POTD ships. This is not an issue with any other ship.
I can help you here. The logo mesh is looking for its logo textures, since your using UU, Moonraker(modeler of UU Connie) overwrote the stock logos with logo for his new connie. What you need to do - 1. Get stock Connie logo textures from a stock Legacy(i.e. F_Constitution_Logo.dds; F_Constitution_Logo_1.dds etc.) 2. Rename logo textures (i.e F_TNG_Constitution_Logo.dds) 3. Include logo file names in the ship's ODF.
That certainly helps. Unfortunately, I don't have the stock logos anymore (the one back up of my hard drive that may have had the files was unfortunately, just formated.) I guess I will have to re-install Legacy on a different hard drive or partition.
I guess I'll update you all when I get to it. Thanks for the tip!
Just to let you all know, the problem was fixed. I uninstalled Legacy, re-installed it, copied it, applied the mods to the copies and used the files you suggested. Although it took a while to get everything back to working, it was worth it, especially since the unpatched mods allow for the warp nacells to blow off. Again, thanks for the tip! UU rocks!
