Okay, somehow Keys Of Legacy has installed itself on every one of my legacy versions, Tek Battles, Stock, TLE, Aftermath 1.7 and 2.0.. everything..
all i did was transfer my installs onto an ext. HD and it was able to put itself in every folder which i find bemusing :|
as good as KoL is with Stock, its screwed up the graphics on all my TC installs so now they look suckish lol
dang.. does KoL have an uninstall? or can i reinstall the TC's overwriting the files from KoL on top of the original TC? say Aftermath & KoL -> but install Aftermath over that overwriting KoL?
|I hate me having problems..
This has gots to be the wierdest thing I've ever heard a mod do. Oh man you got yourself a real mess there acid. The only thing wrong I could think off with over-writing the files that your KOL dumped into your installs is if there are files from the KOL that is left untouched after re over-writing(you might want to keep an eye out for them). ;)
Well, if KoL is in your actual Legacy directory there will be some shared information all Legacy Installs will gather from KoL then...try uninstalling Legacy and installing it again w/o KoL.
Bah i just reinstalled the TC's over the top :D
im not one to faff around uninstalling stuff.
Strange that it installed everywhere. Easiest way to 'restoring' any of your installs are either do a complete clean install of Legacy or install a TC directly over the other one. One thing with TC's is they will overwrite each other.
Though one thing I will say about any uninstall program thats for Legacy: dont use it... Legacy itself dont even have a proper uninstall. Best to just delete then re-install. Mod uninstallers remove what they install; including key core components needed in order for Legacy to run.
this happened to me once all u have to do is wipe every trace of legacy and KOL from your hard drive
yeah i fixed it a couple of days a go
and im not wiping jack.. its easily fixable.. i dont understand why people think its the only solution to completely wipe everything at the first sign of something going wrong..
Human instinct. If it goes wrong, kill/destroy/get rid of it. Contamination control, stop the risk of infection by removing everything
well it certainly seems to be most peoples instinct. would make sense though. native americans, tribbles (klingon), so on
