okay, problem is simple: my mouse clicks more than once when cycling through select options (like map, respawns, ship select). like for example when browsing through ships, it will occasionally skip one or two ships when i hit the next ship arrow. also, once i'm actually playing the game (flying around/fighting other ships) it doesn't do it. now before you go and say my mouse is going out, i tried both my mice, both have this problem, and it's ONLY in legacy that they have it. i don't have any of this problem in any other game i have, or when doing things on windows/other programs. i'm suspecting it may have something to do with my new gfx card. i just recently upgraded from an integrated geforce 6150 se and 250 watt psu to a gforce 9500gt and 550 watt psu (works brilliantly i might add, can play company of heroes on dx10 settings maxed and still have an average 60fps, and minimum 22fps). the rest of my specs are a 2.3 amd sempron, 2 gigs ram, and running vista (never had a problem with vista with anything btw). so if you have any ideas..........ummmmm...........please help.
Hm, you're not the first one to have this problem. I'd recommend you try updating your graphics drivers, I think that helped the last time.
i actually installed this just a few days after it's release: GeForce/ION Driver Release 190 so unless there's newer drivers than that.......... the game is completely playable, just menus can occasionally be annoying.
Have you tried using the mouse buttons?
the scroll wheel works fine for menus and ship select (the only times either mouse gives me this problem). i mean the game plays fine using the mouse, everything else on my pc works fine using the mouse, just legacy's menus have the problem when using the mouse. so i'll just use the scroll wheel for scrolling through menu options. thx for trying to help anyway. :D
Lol, the mouse buttons. I think I've gone crazy. I should think more before I wrote. I meant the keys on your keyboard not the mouse buttons, sorry. Typical case of fatigue.
The problem is Legacy. The menu gets that way when your graphic card is working faster than Legacy thinks it is.
The faster your graphics card the more likely and worse it gets. I get it on my 9800GT, I have to be careful and flip back now and then to get the ship I want. Even faster cards and SLI setups are worse for it. I didn't get it on my old 6600.
Miri was trying to fix/improve the issue with the use Nhancer, I never got back what he was altering to help the issue though. For me it's relatively minor problem so I haven't bothered asking him about it directly. Nhancer is a special setting altering program for Nvidia based videocards, it lets you change settings that aren't in the regular Nvidia Driver options. If used properly it can enhance performance and quality, if used improperly it can really mess things up.
Hm...I'm running on a GTX260 and do not have that bug. Kind of weird thing this is.
