I was trying to play skirmish mode to get the feel of the game before i started the campaign mode...however when i picked the race i wished to face and went to the next screen...i could pick which fed ship i wanted to be....but i did not see a way to pick my enemy's ship. Did they make the game so you just auto. fight the same class ship or what

Currently there is no way to pick your enemy's ships from within the game. According to one of the threads on the Bethesda Legacy forum this is something they are looking into for a future update.

Dontai: How have you been able to pick enemy ships? Which files have you had to access in order to do this? I`m considering making a few tools for Legacy (a Legacy version of the ODF editor I made for Armada, another more user friendly keybinder, and a few other bits). I think alot of people would appreciate being able to set up their enemy ships as, let's face it, most of us are just dying to re-enact some classic Trek battles but can`t at the moment.

Klingon assault on DS9 from 'Way Of The Warrior' anyone?!? :D

Can't you pick enemy ships by making missions with the map editor? That's what I'm trying to figure out how to do. Just finished the single player campaign, looking to keep things interesting.

The closest way to control what ships the AI uses for now, is to have a wide range of command points available.

The Community mod enables a large selection command points, ranging from 100000 to 10000 (TNG era).

There is an easy way of having the computer pick certain ships. What i did was create a new map and add the enemy ships to that. At the moment i have recreated DS9 Sacrifice of Angels. A huge Dominion fleet against a large Federation & Klingon fleet. Obviously its not against 1200 Dominion ships but there is about 80 ships onscreen. Can get a bit laggy but good fun
