I just got Legacy for christmas, therefore of course.... I was so thrilled. But that was until I inserted the disk into my DVD-Rom drive, what did I receive? Nothing. Abseloutely nothing. No installation screen, nothing. Can Legacy work in my CD-Rom drive? If so, please tell me how.

Try double clicking on your Disc Drive. Otherwise, open it and click the setup file

On a DVD-rom drive it should, on a CD-romdrive it shouldn't.

check if the disc has no scratches etc. otherwise take the disc back and let it be replaced :)

Nope, the disk has abseloutely no scratches. It's brand new. I have made the attempt to also insert another disk into my DVD-Rom drive, nothing. Therefore it would appear there is a technical difficulty withen my DVD-Rom drive. I am assuming I must get it replaced.

can you see the DVD-rom drive at all??

if so, then yes, otherwise, try to replace the IDE-cable :)...(or S-ATA if it was connected to S-ATA)

try to connect it to an other IDE slot, (or S-ATA slot)
