Does anyone have some good ideas for some maps? If so, post them here, so our resident mappers can take a look and start producing! I know that I want to see some good city maps. I know that SupCom doesn't have many building models, but with the model importer, anything is possible. Head over to SupremeCommanderfiles.com to get all the utilities you need. An aicraft intense map would be cool, I was thinkin sort of like the battle of britain huge dogfights, massive bombing raids etc. I imagine it would be 2 seperate bases seperated by impassable land/ water (but no sea units). Transport could be used though to hopefully establish a beach head on your opponents base. To go with it you'd probably need an aircraft orientated ai (like jaws for water maps)

How about a map that has tons of resource spaces on each side, and a narrow pathe down the center so the battles are similar to the 300 movie (and actual battle). No aircraft or nukes.

K long winded but this is my idea of a perfect battle map. 80x80 Island surrounded by small cliff islands perfect for outposts. The mainland should be stepped (maybe 3 layers?) like the 2 layered Ian's Cross level in SupCom, with one central pass perfect for a huge firefight or stalemate. Mass points spread evenly along the cliff edges making the players priority to defend them. The 4 bases (yes only 4 on 80x80) should be surrounded by cliffs making them hard to target via air and ocean. Please dont make this symmetrical, the map symmetry ruined this games landscapes for me. Random rocky outcrops could divide sections of land causing borders. The main focus of this map would be land based fights, sea and ocean conquest is useful but irrelivant. Other than grass and mountain, on a plain sunny day thats all i kinda want from a SupCom map. Extra Note: If you've ever played FFIX to disc 3, a mix between the Mist continent and Forgotten continent would be a good aid to imagination.
