Ok. So, I got this game a few days ago from Best Buy for 10 dollars. I open it up, I only see one CD or DVD or whatever it is, and I put it into my Windows Vista computer. I enter in my key, install the game, add the desktop icon, and every time I try to run it, it says

"Wrong disc inserted. Please insert the original "Supreme Commander" CD/DVD."

I've tried running it as an Admin, I've tried removing the CD and putting it back in and waiting for two minutes, and I've tried uninstalling it and then installing it again.

I don't think I have any "visual drives" running, but I don't know what those are or how to disable them.

So, how do I fix this?

sry about the late response. so this is the original supreme commander? have you tried patching it? also if you have or if not the easyist thing to try would be remove the preferences file, sometimes it gets messed up so you need to delete it to fix the problem, you can find it here"C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Local\Gas Powered Games\SupremeCommander" and it should be called "Game.prefs" if this does not work try signing on to gpg.net you might need to make an account but they never send emails or anything and it will auto update your game for you and should fix the problem.
