A stopid question, but I need to know it: In every readme of a file there is writen down, "make a backup before you download it!" My question is: What is a Backup, how do you make it, and WHY I need to make a backup??? I feel me like a N00B :(
A backup file is a copy of your origional files to make sure that you can replace them if something happens to one of them.
Just copy the files to My Documents for example.
So I have to click on "LVL_PC" and press ctrl+c, and place them at an other place?
Only if you want to waste a couple of gigs... in readmes they'll tell you what files you need to make a backup of...just go into LVL_PC and make a copy of those files in their original directories. Its just as simple as selecting the file then hitting CTRL+C, then CTRL+V. that'll make a file called Copy of ***.lvl, where *** is whatever the filename is that you backed up (ex: des.lvl, or mission.lvl) To restore the backup, just delete the one that is there, then make a copy of the copy and rename it to the original name.
