I've just downloaded SWBF modtools and I can't even find out how to install it. I've read the readme file and there's nothing said about it. can someone tell me how to install it?

Just take them out of the zip folder. They have to be located here to work: C:/LucasArts/BFBuilder. It should work then. If you don't have a LucasArts folder in C: than make one.

They do not have to be in LucasArts, they can be extracted directly to C:/. They will also work as long as the folder BFBuilder is in has to spaces in it, such as LucasArts, but if the folder was Lucas Arts it would not work.

I've managed to create a new world but when i click open project, then choose to edit my world, zeroeditor opens but then crashes. I heard something about avoiding this by changing the color settings. what do I change?

So your just gonna give up huh? I've got over a hundred posts and probobl 75% of them are questions. At first Zeroedit wouldn't start for me cause I had BoPC. I asked and masterfang found the fix for me. I don't think I have the answer to your particular problem but just keep asking and eventually you'll get help.

it could crash because of your graphics card, or if you have the Best of PC version of the game like Ty294 did. There is a fix for BoPC, and I'm pretty sure if it's your graphics card you can run 3D analyze and get it to work somehow. Keep trying, we need more BF1 modders.

Ok, well I might try starting it up some time. as long as I know what 3D analyze is.

You can get it off of filefront main and there are other posts about it.(only in the bf2 section though but the same steps should apply).
