Does anyone know when the SWBF2 SDK will be released? Other then that here are some general thoughts (some of which are already posted perhaps) for mod makers: * converting SWBF1 maps to play in SWBF2 with the sequel's unit additions, or perhaps combine some maps like the SWBF1&2 Geonosis maps (use the SWBF2 version as a basis but add the CIS catacomb command center from the first game's version of the geonosis map to it, perhaps add a LAAT/I and some Rocket Ships to the BF2 map) and perhaps those geonosian fighters from SWBF1 * a SW KotOR mod for SWBF2, add the Sith Troopers and (Old) Republic Soldiers as playable factions, together with their respective ships like the Sith 'Leviathan' type starcruiser and the Republic Hammerhead cruisers, as well as Sith Interceptors and such. Perhaps you could add the Mandalorians as a faction. and then there are the KotOR jedi heroes and sith villains like Darth Malak, Darth Revan, Darth Sion, Darth Nihilus, Darth Kreia and Master Vandar, Bastilla Shan, Carth, Mission Vao, Canderous Ordo, etc... And KotOR planets like Korriban, Manaan, Onderon, Dxun, Dantooine, etc... * adding some jedi like Shaak Ti and Kit Fisto * add some more spaceships like the Republic Torrent Fighter, the rebel Alliance B-Wing Fighter, the Imperial Scimitar Bomber and Lambda Shuttle,.... * add some more vehicles such as the Republic Juggernaught Tank or the Wookie Flying Catamaran or perhaps the SWBF1 version or the Republic Jedi Fighter (allongside the EP3 Jedi Interceptor instead of replacing it) and the SWBF1 hover tank for the Rebels. * make new or different versions of existing maps like a Kasshyyyk map (SWBF2) but with a landed Venator Star Destroyer landed like in EP3. * anything else cool I probably forgot...;)
Yes sorry I amost forgot to add these possible additions as well:
* the Seperatist Crab Droid and the Tri Droid
* CIS MagnaGuard droids but with electrostaffs instead of the blasters (you could use the Darth Maul doublebladed lightsaber moves for the electrostaff)
* perhaps some spacemaps where the player has not one command point but possibly two (on another starship)
* include the Gungans from SWBF1 as an npc faction, perhaps on a Naboo Plains map converted from the first game
* have some land maps with a few star fighters (fighter and bomber class but not the interceptor and transport class ships)
* and all the things that could add to the already super duper gameplay of SWBF2 (did I just say super duper?)
* Ooh and I also forgot to mention that these mod ideas are for the SWBF2 game and not the first :)

Well, then you will have to wait a while, No one knows when the mod tools will be coming out, and if they are going to come out there will be some big changes because of all the new features in SWBFII.

a map called Imperial March were the imperials or the republic have to go down a canyon and attack a Rebel/CIS base and on the canyons will be turrets shooting down at the AT-ATs/AT-TEs. Also, the Imperials/Republic can climb up the canyon and attack the turrets
a star trek vs star wars mod will be very intresting!!! in spacebattle mode you can fight with shuttles and fighters of star trek vs star wars ships!!!! or on the field star trek troops fighting vs stormtroopers and the phaserstextures are the same like the effect when a sniper fire its weapon...
F*ck star trek! whith their stupid colorful balet-tutus and their complete lack of any professional disciplin amongst commanding officers, and to hell with their phaser guns that couldn't even warm up a frozen pizza let along destroy a TIE fighter. Bugger with their so called alien species (the only difference between these 'aliens' and humans is that they have a few extra wrinkles or freckels or they have pointy ears) at least Star Wars aliens are more believable if you were to imerse oneself in another galaxie's ecology (Jabba the Hutt is at least an interessting alien species compared to doctor spock). And feck those stupid star trek dialogues (I once saw an episode of star trek where one of the crew members was explaining her interpretation as to why humans enjoy ice cream to another 'alien' member, this conversation took up almost ten minutes of my life) at least Star Wars dialogue (with the exception of some of the prequel's corny cliches) has some impact on the overal story line (think 'Luke I am your father' compared to 'doctor spock the quantum-physical bio-engineerd hypermatter sandwich is eaten by a klingon'). The old star trek films and early episodes of star trek with captain piccard and data were rather amusing but after the billionth derivative of this mediocre tv series the fun has definitly gone away.

Oh don't take it personally I was just letting of some steam. Besides I do think it might be fun to have a star trek based faction just so you can kill horde after horde of those ballet-clothed freaks and their ships :)Sorry but I really do hate star trek.Anyway I hope you get your mod if not just to get it over with. Bugger me...I've never been this agressive with my typing, perhaps there's something wrong with me? Ah just chalk it up to my abnormal frustrations ;)
