How do you create units? What programs does it require? And can I have a link to a good tutorial?

Someone must have moved this post, I didn't start any new threads. (I've already clogged this board with them anyway!)

You don't need any program to make new units, I suggest you edit the stock units (and you edit them with notepad/wordpad or any other text editor you want to use). The best tutorial you can find is the one in the documentation.

Ok I didn't notice ODFs were text files. A quick question, once I make the changes what do I do to make them take effect for my level.

First (don't know if this is required for bf1) you need to add the dc: in your lua scripts (open by text editor). This is where to add the dc: ReadDataFile("dc:SIDE\\rep.lvl", Second save and close your lua then go and munge (make sure under the SIDES tab everything is selected). Then go munge and test.

There is no tabs labeled sides when you munge BF1. Only Edit, Localize, Munge, and Clean. I'm sorry I didn't reply earlier, my internet was down.

Then it must be something in your lua, make sure you add a dc: before the SIDE\\rep.lvl or whatever it is in bf1.

I've tried that but it doesn't work. I can't even load the Gamorrean side. Now in the buildpc/sides folder there is an option to munge but that doesn't seem to work either.
