I just installed the game and followed the installation instructions carefully. Whenever I chose a mission in the single player campaign, the game crashes and sends me back to my desktop. I have windows xp with service pack 2 and I heard that the pack caused problems so I uninstalled it. That did not do the trick and the game still crashed. So I uninstalled it and installed it again. I still have the same problem. Can so one please help me I really want to play this game very badly? Computer Info: Dell demension 4600 Windows XP (now w/o sp2) NVidia Gforce excellent graphics card that can run high res games like SW KOTOR

odd, very odd. does your computer have sufficient memory? i assume it does as it can run high res graphics but i figured i'd ask. does this occur in the campiagn or instant action, or both. if it occurs no matter which way you play, then is your graphics card equipped with the latest patch to be compatible with Direct X 9.0c? for that matter, is 9.0c installed or is it an older version?

i right clicked on the destop, select properties, select settings. the name of your card should be under Display underneath a picture of your monitor.

for example, mine says 'Plug and Play Monitor on NVidia GeForce4 MX 420'

as for the campiagns not working....i don't see why that would happen. my buddy borrowed the game from me once and he had a similar problem with the game crashing when the map would start or soon after. i think he uninstalled it and then reinstalled it. but you've already done that so i'm not sure what to say. and SP2 has no effect on my game other than the fact that it crashed it once when i was playing online (it was qualified as a 'threat' and was shut down, i changed the settings so it didn't happen again)

i wouldn't really worry about the lack of campaigns. other than some shots from the movies in between the maps and the ability to fight the Battle of Naboo from Episode 1 against the Gungans/Royal Guards in the CIS campaign, they're no different than instant action. Galactic Conquest is much better in my opinion and you haven't mentioned not being able to play that.

I was able to fix the problem by choosing to cutom install the game when installing. But now I have a greater issue. I notice that some levels don't get installed when I install the whole game and cant be played in single or multiplayer. I have to constantly reinstall the game the get the levels that are missing, but when I do that other levels are deleted. I know this is definitely not due to my computer but something wrong with the game. I'm hoping that I can fix this problem for if I dont, I will have to exchange the game.
